Zoe-perry

Perry was born to Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). Her first roles on television included two roles as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on the ABC sitcom Roseanne which was played by her mother. Perry did not decide to consider a career in acting until she reached the age of adulthood due to her parents being afraid of the negative consequences stress can cause. Perry confessed that she wasn't at ease in the stage during high school. She began doing it to meet new people at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Following her graduation, Perry moved in New York to search for jobs on television, landing small parts on series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent but homesickness brought her back to California which is where she discovered acting work. In 2013, she appeared in The Other Place on Broadway along with her mother. In 2015, she appeared alongside Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prizewinning Drama Anna Christie. Odyssey Theatre Ensemble Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry played a lead role in nine episodes of the ABC drama The Family. In 2017, she starred in her own recurring part on her own ABC Political thriller Scandal with her father. The same year, she played a young version of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory), portraying her mother as a young version. Despite the fact that she has a connection with her family to the character, she was offered the part through an audition.
